AnadoluJet goes global brand with international flights

AnadoluJet, a brand of Turkey's national flag carrier, will be a global carrier by launching several new international flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

The carrier, which operates only two international flights currently, will launch flights from Istanbul to 26 new destinations in 16 countries as of March, 29, the Turkish Airlines' brand announced on Jan. 14.

Ankara and Berlin Negotiate to Establish Turkish Schools in Germany

The governments of Turkey and Germany are negotiating an agreement that will establish Turkish schools in the largest EU country. They will be located in Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt.

The German government has been in intensive talks with Ankara on plans to set up Turkish schools in Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt, Süddeutsche Zeitung reports.

Lufthansa and Air France Halt Flights to Iran and Iraq

German airline giant Lufthansa said it has canceled flights to Iran and Iraq "until further notice" after Tehran fired missiles at US bases in Iraq, according to BGNES.

The daily Frankfurt-Tehran flight has been canceled. Saturday's twice-weekly service to northern Iraqi city Erbil would also not depart.

World stocks close out 2019 with robust gains

World stocks closed out a notably profitable year, with Wall Street recording its best annual performances since 2013, boosted by hopes for a US-China trade deal.

Lufthansa Canceled 600 Flights on Friday due to the Cabin Crew Strike

New 600 Lufthansa-operated flights were canceled on Friday - the second day of the cabin crew strike. Among them are three from Munich and Frankfurt to Sofia. Three flights from Sofia to Germany will not be fulfilled.

On Thursday, 700 flights were canceled, causing chaos at airports in Europe.
