Mogherini to visit Belgrade next week

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini will pay a working visit to Serbia next week, her office told Tanjug.

The visit will be a part of a March 1-4 tour of the Balkans, during which Mogherini will travel to Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.

Turkey Demands Extradition of Gulen Supporters From 16 Countries, Bulgaria Included

The Turkish Justice Ministry has demanded the extradition of 28 persons from 16 countries, including Bulgaria, accused of being members of the network of supporters of Fethullah Gulen.

This was announced by high-ranking judicial sources pointing out that the persons in question include Fethullah Gulen.

Turkey to change curriculum of former Gülen schools abroad

Significant changes will soon be made to the curriculum of Turkish schools abroad, which have been taken over from the network of Fethullah Gülen, the U.S. based preacher widely believed to have orchestrated the July 2016 coup attempt, according to the chairman of the Maarif (Education) Foundation.

A study conducted in Bosna and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro by the Western Balkans Platform for Advocating Media Freedom and Journalists Safety, concludes that journalists remain vulnerable to physical attacks and other pressures, and have few ways of defending themselves effectively.
