Man whose body was found in Ioannina park died by suicide
A man whose body was found in a park in the northwestern city of Ioannina is now thought to have died by suicide.
Sources said that the police investigation and autopsy report found that the man had shot himself.

Arta: Baby dies after being left in car
A 5-month-old baby died in a car after it was left there by its father in the northwestern town of Arta.
According to police sources, the father was supposed to drop the child off at the nursery, but forgot it in the backseat of the car. The infant's mother went to the nursery at noon to pick up the baby and was informed it was not there.

Soccer player convicted over indecent assault of child
A 28-year-old soccer player from Agrinio in Central Greece, who was arrested seven months ago and accused of repeated indecent assaults of a 4-year-old boy, was unanimously sentenced to seven years in prison without suspension on Monday by a court in the city of Ioannina.
Pregnant woman beaten by father in Ioannina
A 22-year-old woman, who is in the sixth month of her pregnancy, has filed charges of physical injury against her father.
The woman alleges that she was verbally abused and beaten by her father on Sunday in the northwestern city of Ioannina.
The woman was taken to hospital where doctors confirmed that the baby was not in danger.
Her father is being sought by police.
