Number of multicolor-eyed Van cats rising under protection
The number cats born this year at the Van Cat Research Center in the southeastern province of Van has increased. The cats, which are symbols of the city with their yellow and blue eyes, are under special protection at the center.

Zorlu Center hosting Istanbul Light Fest
Turkey's first light festival, which started on Nov. 13 at Istanbul's Zorlu Center, will continue through Nov. 29.
More than 20 world-renowned light artists will be contributing to the festival curated by Rebecca Mendez, the head of the Media Art Department at the Los Angeles-based university, UCLA.

Curfew declared in Mardin's Nusaybin district
A curfew has been declared in the Nusaybin district of the southeastern province of Mardin until further notice, the governor's office has stated.
The Mardin Governor's Office announced that a curfew has been declared in the entire district so that security forces can fill in ditches and remove barricades erected by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants.

EBRD pays 53.4 mln euros for minority stake in Global Ports
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has paid 53.4 million euros to acquire a 10.84 percent stake in Turkish port operator Global Ports (GPH), completing the transfer of stakes on Nov. 13.
Global Investment, the parent company of GPH, said its stake had dropped to 89.16 percent due to the deal, in a written statement late on Nov. 12.
Two soldiers killed in PKK mine attack in Turkey's southeast
Two soldiers were killed on Nov. 13 in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) mine attack in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r.
PKK militants detonated a mine placed on a road in the Lice district as a military convoy was passing. Two soldiers were killed in the attack, according to initial reports.
PM calls for more Japanese companies to invest in Turkey's mega projects
