Former police intel chief arrested in Dink murder case
A former Istanbul police intelligence chief was arrested late May 28 in the case of the murder of Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink.
Ali Fuat Y?lmazer, who was the Istanbul police intelligence chief when Dink was murdered in 2007, was arrested after being interrogated for a second time in the killing of Dink.
HDP co-chair mocks Erdo?an's nationwide inaugurations
Peoples? Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirta? celebrated opening a soda can during his meeting with Turkish humorists and cartoonists in Istanbul, teasing President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an?s successive inauguration meetings on the run up to the June 7 elections.
Turkey launches Ziraat Bank's Islamic branch
Turkey?s largest state-owned bank, Ziraat Bank, has launched its first branch for Islamic finance in Istanbul.
?This is a historic step. Other state-owned banks should follow Ziraat?s move,? President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an said on May 29 during the opening ceremony in the Eminönü neighborhood, referring to Vakifbank and Halk Bank.

Alparslan Bayraktar was elected as the new chairman of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators at the sixth World Forum on Energy Regulation in Istanbul on May 28.
Bayraktar is a commissioner in the Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Turkey (EMRA) and he also serves as the chairman of the Energy Regulators Regional Association, ERRA.

EBRD and Borsa Istanbul in exclusive talks over stake sale
