Number of blue-flagged beaches rises in Turkey
Turkey continues to rank third in the list of "countries with the most blue-flagged beaches" this year, with the number of blue-flagged beaches increasing from 519 to 531 currently.
Like in 2021, Spain topped the ranking, while Greece was runner-up this year. Italy and France followed Turkey in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

Parliamentary report highlights tsunami risk in Marmara Sea

5.7 quake kills at least one in Turkey's east
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake jolted Turkey's eastern province of Bingöl on June 14, according to the country's disaster agency.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said the quake struck the Karlıova district at 5.24 p.m. local time (1424GMT).

Magnitude 5.7 quake hits Turkey's east
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake jolted eastern Turkey on June 14, according to the country's disaster agency.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake struck Turkey's eastern Bingöl province's Karlıova district at 5.24 p.m. local time (1524GMT). An aftershock with a magnitude of 4.7 was recorded in the same region, according to data provided by AFAD.

Earthquake Diplomacy: Another casualty last week?
It was in the middle of a summer night too, it caught people in bed. The date was August 17 and the time was 3:02 a.m. A massive earthquake that registered 7.6 struck the Marmara Sea centered in the city of Izmit causing thousands of deaths and huge damage to all the densely populated coastal areas, including Istanbul. The year was 1999.

Turkey's opposition leader claims government wants to stop justice march
