Brnabic: Serbia, China have joint projects worth 6 bln dollars
KOSTOLAC - Serbia and China currently have joint projects worth 6 bln dollars, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said in Kostolac, eastern Serbia, on Monday.
Brnabic laid the cornerstone for the new B3 unit of the Kostolac coal-fired power plant, the biggest investment in Serbia's energy sector in nearly three decades.

Production resumes at Drmno coal mine
KOSTOLAC - Production has resumed at the Drmno open-pit coal mine in Kostolac, eastern Serbia, with the daily output already at 15,000 tons, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic said on Saturday, announcing that rainwater should be pumped out of the mine within 30 days.

Heavy rain halts coal production in Drmno
KOSTOLAC - Heavy rain, which fell incessantly for over 15 hours in the area of Kostolac, eastern Serbia, sank the Drmno open-pit coal mine Thursday and reduced electrical energy production at the Kostolac Thermal Power Plant (TE Kostolac), but great effort is being made to get the plant back to operating at full capacity.

Rehabilitation of thermal power plant Kostolac starts
KOSTOLAC - The rehabilitation of B1 block of the thermal power plant (TE) Kostolac in eastern Serbia, an investment worth USD 112 million, has started today.
The rehabilitation of the thermal power block is expected to prolong its lifespan by 20 years, Serbian Energy Minister Zorana Mihajlovic noted at the official start of the reconstruction works.
