Goodyear Slovenija completes €94 million expansion

The Kranj-based tyre maker Goodyear Slovenija has expanded production capacity by a quarter and created 160 jobs as part of a €94 million investment that started in January 2019 and was completed last month.

The first phase of the investment was completed in 2019, while the second started in 2020 and was supposed to end by the beginning of 2022.

Basovizza Heroes remembered with calls against hatred, exclusion

Climbing the bell tower in Kranj for stunning views

Kranj – The Kranj Parish has renovated the bell tower of the local St. Cantianus Church, the most recognisable feature in Kranj’s townscape, which was declared a cultural monument of national importance this year. Visitors are now able to climb the bell tower’s 163 steps to enjoy panoramic views.

Nearly 200 coronavirus infections confirmed on Thursday

Ljubljana – A total of 199 coronavirus infections were confirmed in Slovenia on Thursday in 1,841 PCR tests for a positivity rate of 10.8%. The cumulative 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents continued to steadily increase, standing at 92, up by four on the day before, show fresh data by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
