Archaeology season opens in Türkiye
Almost all of the 240 scientific excavations, caried out under the direction of Turkish and foreign scientists and museum directorates with the permission of the Culture and Tourism Ministry started in July. By the end of 2023, the number of all archaeological excavations and research will be 750.

Presidential Symphony Orchestra performs at ancient theater
The Presidential Symphony Orchestra has given a concert at the 2,200-year-old historic theater in the Aegean province of Denizli's ancient city of Laodicea.
More than 15,000 people attended the concert at the ancient theater on June 23, hosted by the provincial governor's office and the municipality.

Historical tombs found in stadium field in Denizli
Survey excavations that have been carried out in a field for the construction of a stadium have unearthed 2,000-year-old burials.
The area in the western province of Denizli was declared a first-degree excavations area, while another place will be searched for the stadium, the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality announced.

Historic road to ancient stadium comes to light
The street that provides access to Anatolia's largest ancient stadium, the Laodicea Stadium, is being unearthed. The stadium is located next to the ancient city of Laodicea and has a capacity of 25,000 to 30,000 people.
