Larissa: Multiple evacuation orders issued
The villages of Falani, Koulouri, and Dasohori, located near the city of Larissa in the Thessaly region of central Greece, received evacuation orders on Friday as a precautionary measure in response to the impact of Storm Daniel that has struck the region.
All neighborhoods along the riverbanks in Larissa are currently submerged.

A 43-year-old woman, who is a police officer, has been hospitalized in critical condition following a brutal assault by her 52-year-old husband in the city of Larissa, central Greece.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday after an intense altercation that escalated, resulting in the man physically attacking his wife.
OSE executive beaten after testifying on Tempe train crash
An executive of Greece' rail network managing company OSE was beaten outside a court in the city of Larissa, in central Greece, on Tuesday after his testimony before an investigative magistrate on the train tragedy in Tempi that killed 57 people.
Large wildfire breaks out in central Greece
A large wildfire broke out in a forested area northeast of the city of Larissa, in central Greece, the Fire Service said on Monday.
The blaze is located near the village of Kypselohori.
Units of the Fire Service are on their way while it has also requested the assistance of aerial means to limit the spread of the fire.

More routes to begin in Athens-Thessaloniki train service on Monday
More routes will be added on Monday on the Athens-Thessaloniki train service where Greece's deadliest crash on record occurred on February 28.
Route operator Hellenic Train announced last week that two additional pairs of Intercity trains will restart services and new departure times will be added for better passenger service.

A memorial service was held Sunday in Tempe, near the city of Larissa, where relatives of the victims of the massive train collision of February 28 left candles and flowers at the site. The accident, Greece's worst ever, left 57 dead.
