Turkey expects proper answers from Greece over militarized Aegean islands
Turkey has sent two letters indicating that Greece violates the international law by arming the islands with the de-militarized status in the Aegean Sea, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said, calling on Athens to give proper answers to Turkey instead of escalating the tension.
Turkish media: “Agathonisi, Farmakonisi, Pserimos, Kinaros and other islands are ours”
The Turkish media continue the provocative propaganda about the Greek islands, which they claim are Turkish.
Erkan Karakous, Vice Admiral, said that Agathonisi, Farmakonisi, Pserimos, Kinaros and some other islands belong to Turkey and there is no doubt about that.
The UN Recognized Turkey’s New Name
From today, the English name of Turkey will be written as Turkiye. This was stated by UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric.
In a statement to the Anatolian Agency Dujarric said the organization had received a letter from the Turkish Foreign Minister regarding a change in the country's name, and the change takes effect on the day the letter is received.

Turkey condemns Germany for statements over dispute with Greece
Turkish foreign ministry "strongly condemned and rejected the unfounded" statements made by the German Chancellery against Turkey.
"Instead of making biased statements that do not comply with the spirit of the Alliance, we expect Germany to invite Greece to act in accordance with international treaties," Foreign Minister Spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç said.
