Bach Days in Istanbul
The 13rd Istanbul Bach Days will be organized this year with the theme "Bach & Love."
The event will open Dec. 7 with the world-renowned violin virtuoso Andres Mustonen and the leading Estonian Glasperlenspiel Chamber Orchestra on the Grand Pera Emek Stage. The concert will present a selection from Bach.

German actress Gisela May dies at 92
German actress and singer Gisela May has passed away aged 92. May is best known for her performances of political songs by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill. Born in Wetzlar, Germany, in 1924, May was the daughter of actor and writer Käte May and writer Ferdinand May and attended drama school in Leipzig from 1942 to 1944.

Suspect of Planned Chemnitz Attack 'Had Contacts with IS'
Syrian national Jaber al-Bakr, detained by German police over a planned attack in Chemnitz, had contacts with the Islamic State (IS) group, the prosecution says.
The suspect, arrested in the small hours of Monday, is named as Jaber al-Bakr, a Syrian refugee, and has been detained in an operation in Leipzig, 68 km away from Chemnitz.

Thomas Cook 'Adds 50 000 Airline Seats' to Bulgaria
Travel company Thomas Cook will add more than 50 000 airline seats to the airports of Varna and Burgas in 2016, Bulgaria's biggest Black Sea cities, media outlets report.
According to Greek English-language website Tornos News, there will be two flights a week between Burgas and Frankfurt and one connecting Burgas with Rostock, Leipzig and Berlin respectively.
La Traviata Conducted by Ljubka Biagioni to Debut in Sofia on February 14
Giuseppe Verdi's opera "La Traviata" with conductor Ljubka Biagioni will be performed for the first time in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on February 14.
The soloists on the stage will be Marta Torbidoni - soprano, Mihail Mihaylov - tenor and Anton Keremedtchiev - baritone.
