Lucic: Response to Telekom Srbija appeal due in 15 days

LEPOSAVIC - Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lucic said the company had been informed by the so-called Kosovo's business registration agency on Friday that its appeal following the agency's decision to ban the operations of MTS doo - a Telekom Srbija daughter company in Kosovo-Metohija - was due in 15 days, and expressed the confidence the appeal would be accepted.

Another Serb arrested in Kosovo-Metohija

LEPOSAVIC - Another Serb - a former officer of the so-called Kosovo Police - was arrested in Leposavic, Kosovo-Metohija, on Friday.

In a statement to Tanjug, the deputy police chief of the North region said the man, identified only with the initials G S, had been charged with taking bribes and abuse of office and placed in 48-hour custody.

A smaller group of Serbs remained on the watch in front of the municipalities.
Members of KFOR are still in front of the municipalities, while members of special forces are present within the local self-governments.
The mayor of Leposavic has been sleeping within the municipality for three nights.

Protest held over beating of two Kosovo Serbs

LEPOSAVIC - About a hundred residents of the Josanica village near Leposavic, Kosovo-Metohija, held a peaceful protest on Thursday over a recent beating of two local Serbs by Pristina's special police.

The protesters, who gathered in the village at the invitation of one of the victims' sister, said they were protesting against the terror of the Pristina authorities.

LEPOSAVIC - Pristina's special police beat up two Serb men in the Josanica village, near Leposavic, Kosovo-Metohija, late on Tuesday, Tanjug learns.

The men, aged 23 and 24 and identified with the initials L DJ and DJ M, sustained grievous bodily harm and were then hospitalised at the surgical ward of the Kosovska Mitrovica clinic.
