Olympiakos downs AC Milan 3-0 in friendly

Greek champion Olympiakos defeated Italy's AC Milan 3-0 late on Thursday in a friendly match that launched the International Champions Cup in Canada and the US.

The result, with goals from Alejandro Dominguez, Dimitris Diamantakos and Andreas Bouchalakis, marked Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi's first defeat in three friendlies since he took charge of the San Siro club.

Liverpool start life after Suarez with defeat

Liverpool started life without Luis Suarez on Wednesday with a 2-1 defeat against Danish side Brondby in the club's opening pre-season friendly.
      
Christian Norgaard gave the home side the lead from a free-kick midway through the first half before Liverpool's Swedish international winger Kristoffer Peterson levelled early in the second half.
      

Liverpool clinch Lallana transfer deal

Liverpool have completed the signing of Adam Lallana after the Southampton and England midfielder successfully underwent a club medical on Tuesday.
      
The transfer fee agreed by Southampton for the 26-year-old midfielder is believed to be around 25million (31million euros) and he will be on a five-year contract.
      

Suarez banned for nine matches and four months all football activity over biting: FIFA

Uruguay striker Luis Suarez was banned for nine matches by FIFA on Thursday after being found guilty of biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
   
Suarez was also suspended from any football-related activity for four months and fined 100,000 Swiss francs ($111,000).

Portuguese midfielder Raul Meireles has shown his newest tattoo, featuring the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, during a recent training for his team’s upcoming game at the World Cup in Brazil.

The former Chelsea and Liverpool player now calls Turkey his home, as he plays for Turkish football giants Fenerbahçe.
