Hype surrounding the eagerly anticipated "Star Wars" reboot made the jump to light speed on April 16 as the movie's makers unveiled a new trailer that delighted fans with a glimpse of iconic characters Han Solo and Chewbacca.
Turkish Airlines starts flights to San Francisco
Turkish Airlines has inaugurated flights to San Francisco, the national flag carrier said in a statement.
It is the airline's second Californian destination, and its 11th in the Americas. The airline already has services to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Boston and Montreal.

Youth philharmonic invited to Los Angeles festival
NIS - The youth philharmonic Naisus has received an invitation to partake in the International Music Festival in Los Angeles from June 14-18, the philharmonic's management released in a statement.
Last year, the young musicians won a gold medal at a competition in Bratislava.

Giant prehistoric egg seized at Italian airport
An Italian man was caught trying to send a giant prehistoric egg worth more than 90,000 euros ($97,000) to the United States, Italian customs officials said March 19.
Authorities at Bergamo Airport in the country's northeast discovered the egg -- which measured 50 centimetres (20 inches) in length and 75 centimetre in diameter -- in a parcel destined for Los Angeles.
