The Saudi Arabian administration has decided to terminate the activities of 8 Turkish schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education operating in the capital Riyadh and other provinces at the end of the 2020-2021 academic year, according to information gathered by diplomatic sources on April 28.

The number of students detained is not yet known but it is estimated to be in the hundreds. Police chased fleeing protesters through the streets of Kadikoy, and journalists and local residents were also injured during the crackdown.
Today is the first day of the Holy month - Ramadan. The Muslim abstinence period preceding Ramadan Bayram's big religious holiday will be marked by a state of emergency this year.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.
