Kosovo MPs on Monday debated Hashim Thaci's draft resolution which proposed that the Albanian-majority municipalities of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac in the Presevo Valley area of southern Serbia should unite with Kosovo.
Albanian president to visit Serbia "unofficially"
The Beta agency is reporting on Thursday that it received confirmation of this from the local government in that southern town.
Meta will be staying at the Gejzer Hotel in Sijarinska Banja, and during his visit to Medvedja, he will meet with municipal councilors and municipal officials from the ethnic Albanian community.

Serbia's First Albanian-Language Newspaper to Open
The news website Presheva Jone (Our Preshevo) will soon launch a newspaper in Albanian under the same name with a daily circulation of 1,000 copies, Serbian website Juzne vesti (Southern News) reported on Monday.

Security situation is south "stable"
The security situation in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac, and Medvedja is stable, according to the president of the government's coordinating body.
Speaking on Monday, Zoran Stankovic said there were "no indications" the situation might deteriorate.

BRUSSELS -- Prime Minister Aleksandat Vucic has said that Tuesday's round of the Kosovo talks took place "in a constructive atmosphere," and achieved "modest progress."
He also announced the next round for May.
Agriculture minister visits south of central Serbia
PRESEVO - Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic met with businessmen and representatives of the southern Serbian municipalities of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac on Wednesday.
Bogosavljevic-Boskovic told Tanjug that the businessmen were seeking to start production at once very productive slaughterhouse Jugokop.

PM opens pellet plant in southern Serbia
MEDVEDJA - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic put into operation on Thursday a pellet plant "Jablanica EKO" in Medvedja, southern Serbia, which will hire 50 workers.
The plant construction was financed by the municipality of Medvedja and the Serbian government with EUR 670,000, the Slovenian government with EUR 290,000, and EUR 100,000 was ensured through the EU Progress program.
