Pharrell dedicates ‘Freedom’ to refugees

Bride runs from Syria for her life! (vid)
A poet and journalist who met five Palestinians and Syrians fleeing war decided to help them complete their journey to Sweden from Milan. The Palestinian friend dressed up as a bride and a dozen or so italian and Syrian friends posed as wedding guests in an emotionally-charged expedition.

Italy's Supreme Court Annuls 20-Year Prison Term of Alleged Drug Lord Evelin Banev
Italy's Supreme Court of Cassation has annulled the 20-year prison term of Bulgarian Evelin Banev AKA Brendo for drug trafficking and returned the case for retrial to the Appellate Court of Milan.
The Milan-based court is to hold a new trial within a year, according to Bulgaria's Legal World magazine and the 24 Hours daily.
The decision was taken at a 2-hour meeting.

Turkish actress, directors receive awards in Milan
Turkish actress Damla Sönmez, who won the Best Actress Award at the Milan International Film Festival for her role in the film "Deniz Seviyesi" (Across the Sea), received her award at a ceremony held in Milan on Sept. 9.
The festival was organized earlier this year in the Italian city between May 7 and 17.
