Pahor declines call to prevent “political” appointments of diplomats
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor has declined the call by the Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ) not to sign a decree appointing new ambassadors ahead of the general election. He said that postponement of the appointments as part of regular rotation would be unjustified and harm the country’s foreign policy interests in the international community.

Fashion icon of France Thierry Mugler dies
French designer Thierry Mugler, who reigned over fashion in the 1980s and died on Jan. 23, was as famous for his fantastical couture as for his blockbuster fashion shows. He was 73.
Mugler's daring collections came to define the decade's power dressing, with his clothes noted for their structured and sophisticated silhouettes, showcased by his extravagant shows.

Bulgaria: World Champion in Weightlifting is Angel Rusev
Angel Rusev (55 kg) is a world champion in weightlifting. He won the gold in the ejection with 144 kg. After 110 kg in the throw, the Bulgarian finished third in the match. The champion with 260 kg became the Kazakh Arli Shontay.
This is the biggest success of Rusev's career, which took place at the world championship in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
Milan train station hosts 'World of Banksy'
