Reds and Greens stroll to comfortable Euroleague wins in Greece
Panathinaikos and Olympiakos scored comfortable victories at home in the first half of another double week in the Euroleague.
First up, the Reds put 101 past visiting Alba Berlin (101-87) at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Tuesday to improve their record to 13-11 and climb to the seventh spot.
Reds respond to opponents’ comeback, while Greens don’t
Olympiakos fought off an Armani Milano comeback on Tuesday to win at home, while Panathinaikos could not resist Baskonia's fightback and lost in Spain on Wednesday.
The Greek champion overcame Armani after a close game with a 79-74 result at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus.
Greek away wins on either side of the Alps
Panathinaikos made it two out of two on the road this week in the Euroleague, as it followed its win at Monaco with a triumph at Armani Milano on Friday, just one hour after Olympiakos scored a road win of its own, downing Villeurbanne at Lyon.
The Reds overcame its lowly host with an 85-73 score in France to reach an 8-8 record.

Greens and Reds followed opposite directions
Basketball is a funny old game. You may lead throughout the match like Olympiakos did at Milan and lose in the end due to a lapse of concentration in the last few minutes, while you may also trail for most of the game, like Panathinaikos did at Monaco, and still snatch victory with a last-ditch effort.

Olympiakos defeats Barcelona to lead Euroleague table
Greece's two representatives in the Euroleague continued their separate ways in midweek, with Olympiakos remaining at the top of the table with a home win over Barcelona, and Panathinaikos suffering another defeat, this time away at Monaco.

Olympiakos saw off Armani Milano at home and moved closer to a top-four spot in the Euroleague, while Panathinaikos suffered its fifth straight loss, this time at Bayern Munich, at the halfway point of the regular season.

Inter Milan sign Dzeko, Dumfries
Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko moved to Inter Milan on a two-year deal, the Italian Serie A side announced on Aug. 14.

Slovenia to cooperate with Italian space agency
Rome – Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek signed a letter of intent on cooperation in spacial activities for peaceful purposes with the Italian Space Agency as part of a two-day visit to Italy. He also met Italian Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti with the pair calling for boosting economic cooperation.
