The High Court in Valjevo, Serbia, on Friday rehabilitated a former Chetnik commander Nikola Kalabic, annulling the Communist-era verdict from 1946 which declared him a “national enemy”.

The Higher Prosecutor’s Office in Valjevo told Beta news agency that it would “certainly appeal” the court ruling.

MIONICA/LUCANE - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) pulled off convincing victories in the local elections that were held in the municipalities of Mionica and Lucane, central Serbia, on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Election Commission, the SNS-led coalition won 64.71 percent of the votes.

The Democrats on Monday urged the authorities to find the perpetrators of the attack on Milan Gavrilovic, leader of the party's local governing board in the town of Mionica.
