Grenade Damages Govt Building in North Kosovo
Kosovo Police on Wednesday said a hand grenade was thrown in the northern Serbian part of the divided town of Mitrovica on Tuesday evening, damaging the windows of the government building.

Albania, Kosovo Keep ISIS Suspects Behind Bars
The Court of Serious Crimes in Tirana on Monday decided to keep in jail four Albanians suspected of terrorism, who have refused to be represented by lawyers.
It came after Albanian police on Saturday announced the results of a regional anti-terrorist police operation conducted in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, and said investigations are still continuing.

UNESCO Board Agrees Kosovo Membership Vote
The executive board voted on Wednesday by 27 to 14 for Kosovo's bid to join UNESCO to move to the next stage, despite opposition from Serbia, which sees it as a further unacceptable step towards recognition of its former province's independence.
"It was a small but emotional step forward in a long road," Kosovo's Deputy Foreign Minister Petrit Selimi wrote on Twitter after the vote.

Kosovo Opposition Flock to Sign Petition Against Serbian Deals
A petition against the recent EU-led agreement with Serbia has attracted more than 63,000 signatures during only five days, the organisers said on Wednesday.
The petition was launched on September 18 and the organisers claim the number of the people signing it is increasing every day.
Serbia's Albanians Plot Their Own Municipal Union
Nagip Arifi, mayor of Bujanovac, a mainly Albanian municipality in southern Serbia, told BIRN on Friday that Serbian Albanians plans to set up a municipal union on the same lines as Serbs have done in Kosovo.
