Of course, to Greeks passing through the region, the hagiographies of the saint may look a little familiar… the local press has not failed to see the similarities in the features of the little-known saint with Greek Radical Left Coalition PM Alexis Tsipras.

Tight security at Kalamata port amid talk of terrorism

1,023 passengers and 557 crew members arrived aboard the Costa Neoclassical cruise ship at Kalamata port on Tuesday morning. Mainly Italian and French people were on the ship that docked at the port under strict security measures  following information by Greek authorities concerning a possible terrorist attack.
