Indian capital engulfed in smoke after landfill catches fire
Acrid smoke hung over New Delhi for a second day on Wednesday after a massive landfill caught fire during a scorching heat wave, forcing informal waste workers to endure hazardous conditions.
The landfill in northern Delhi's Bhalswa is taller than a 17-story building and covers an area bigger than 50 football fields.
Countdown starts for Mardin Biennial
The 5th Mardin Biennial will be held this year with the concept of "The Promise of Grass' from May 20 to June 20. Foreign minister starting three-day visit to India
Ljubljana/New Delhi – Foreign Minister Anže Logar will start a three-day visit to India on Monday to meet with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and take part in the Raisina Dialogue. He is also expected to hold talks with Indian President Narendra Modi, the Foreign Ministry said.

Covax raises $2.4 bln to help combat jabs shortfall
The Covax vaccine programme secured another $2.4 billion from donors on June 2, but underlined it was still struggling to get enough doses to help poorer countries fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The scheme is trying to get enough vaccines for 30 percent of the population in 92 of the poorest participating territories - 20 percent in India - with donors covering the cost.
Turkey sends aid to India to fight COVID-19
A Turkish military plane carrying medical supplies to fight COVID-19 left on May 25 for India's capital New Delhi, Turkey's Defense Ministry announced on Twitter.
The plane was carrying medical supplies, including 630 oxygen tubes, five oxygen generators, 50 ventilators, and 50,000 boxes of tablet medicines prepared by the Turkish Red Crescent and Turkey's Health Ministry.
