Turkey hails warmer ties with Greece
Turkey's National Security Council on Thursday supported maintaining the positive climate in bilateral ties with Greece that emerged in the wake of the devastating earthquakes on February 6, adding that it would benefit both sides.
In a statement after convening in Ankara, the council added that ongoing developments in the Aegean and the East Mediterranean are being followed closely.

Herodotou: European banks are healthy
The governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), Constantinos Herodotou, said on Wednesday there is concern in the markets that problems with some European banks could evolve into something bigger. He added however that the European Central Bank (ECB) was reassuring about the health of the European banking system.

UN official says world body committed to Cyprus peace deal
The United Nations remains committed to helping rival Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots reach an agreement to bridge the island nation's ethnic rift, a senior UN official said Wednesday. The problem has been a source of instability in the east Mediterranean for decades.
Cyprus’ top foreign realty purchasers
Russian nationals were by far the largest group of foreign real estate buyers in Cyprus during the first two months of 2023, according to data by the Department of Lands and Surveys, the department's Director Elikos Elia said during the opening of the 5th Property Show last Friday in Nicosia. Buyers from the UK, Israel, Greece, Lebanon, and Germany followed, Elia said.
