2,000-year-old sarcophagus found in Istanbul
A sarcophagus determined to belong to the Roman era has been unearthed during the excavation works of an apartment demolished within the scope of the urban transformation project in Istanbul.
The sarcophagus came to light during the foundation excavation of the demolished building in the Büyükçekmece district.

'Turkish musical heritage rich and innovative,' says Şirin Pancaroğlu
Turkey's renowned harpist Şirin Pancaroğlu released her 12th album titled "Ab-ı Hayat" last month. The album, which consists of music commissioned by Hürrem Sultan for a Turkish bath in Hagia Sophia, presents her Ottoman-based compositions.

The first Ãsküdar Bibliopole Festival in Ãsküdar Squareâs Ramadan Tent presents rare newspapers, magazines, posters, books and maps printed in the Ottoman era. The festival has been organized in collaboration with Istanbulâs Ãsküdar Municipality and the Bibliopole Association.
