Turkish Airlines to expand international network with new destinations
Türkiye's flag carrier plans to expand its international connectivity by launching flights to Detroit, Osaka and Australia, Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines (THY) chairman of the board and executive committee, has said.
Slovenia opens consulate in Naples
Slovenia has opened a consulate in Naples, south Italy, to promote the development of economic, cultural and science relations between the two neighbouring countries.
The new consulate, headed by Jacopo Fronzoni as honorary consul, was launched on 13 January, the Foreign Ministry announced on Twitter.

Italian anti-mafia photographer Battaglia dies aged 87
Italian photographer Letizia Battaglia, whose shots of bullet-riddled bodies captured the dark world of the Sicilian Mafia, has died aged 87.
Prize-winning Battaglia, who would speed to the scene of murders in the 1980s on her Vespa to bear witness to the violence, blew away the romanticized and sanitized image of Cosa Nostra.
Özpetek promotes his latest film in Italy
Rome-based Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek's latest film "La Dea Fortuna" (The Fortune Goddess) was promoted at a press screening.
A special screening was held at the Quattro Fontane cinemas in the Italian capital Rome for the 13th feature film in Özpetek's career, which is a romantic drama.

Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance airline group, improved its load factor to 83.2 percent last year from 77.4 percent in 2016, riding on a strong tourism year.
