The results of the latest ManpowerGroup Employment Survey show that 11% of 621 employers surveyed in Bulgaria expect to increase employment levels in the next three months, 5% predict a reduction in staffing and 4% are uncertain about their plans for employment until 80% are considering changing their current workforce between October and December.
Europe's largest bus carrier, Germany's FlixBus, has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Turkey's Kamil Koç, a leading long-distance carrier in our southern neighbor. Its network is about to be integrated into that of FlixBus. Kamil Koç operates services to 61 cities across Turkey, with over 20 million passengers in 2018.
The Prime Minister and GERB leader Boyko Borissov signed a pre-election agreement for general participation in the local elections with the Union of Democratic Forces. This happened at the GERB headquarters at an event for which no media was invited. The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.
Starting today at 2 pm, carriers will be able to test the Agency's new road infrastructure charging system. For this purpose, four centers were opened in Sofia, Ruse, Varna and Plovdiv.
The system started testing in real time from August 16, but no fees were charged. Electronic vignettes will be valid as long as it is introduced and with certain mileage prices.
Every fourth departure from Bulgaria's three busiest airports is delayed. This is evidenced by the results of the inspection by the Directorate General for Civil Aviation Administration (DGSA), which was assigned to it by Transport Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov late last month. It was reached after many flights were delayed since the beginning of the year.
