Milatovic: We need to work on regional cooperation as long as EU is our goal
PODGORICA - Montenegro's President-elect Jakov Milatovic said on Tuesday his country's potential membership in the Open Balkan initiative needed to be discussed by the next government in Podgorica, to be elected by a new Montenegrin parliament.
Djukanovic’s Ousting Shows ‘Language of Division’ No Longer Works in Montenegro
In the second round of the election, preliminary results put Milatovic far ahead on 60 per cent of the counted votes while Djukanovic won 40 per cent.
Milatovic had the support of the ruling majority parties, while Djukanovic was supported by the smaller opposition Bosniak Party and two ethnic Albanian parties.

Vlahovic scores brace to give Serbia win over Montenegro
PODGORICA - Serbia beat Montenegro 2-0 in a UEFA EURO 2024 Qualifying Group G Match Day 2 game in Podgorica on Monday evening.
In front of 10,000 spectators, Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic scored in the 78th minute following a Filip Mladenovic assist and added a second goal five minutes into second-half injury time after a Sasa Lukic pass to make it 2-0.
