BELGRADE, SARAJEVO -- Five persons have been arrested in Serbia and ten in Bosnia-Herzegovina on suspicion that they took part in the 1993 kidnapping of train passengers.

The train was traveling on the Belgrade-Bar line when 20 passengers were taken out and later killed.

Hahn to visit Belgrade next week

BRUSSELS - European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn stated on Thursday that he will pay a visit to Serbia next week in order to gain an insight into Serbia's negotiations with the EU.

Hahn's visit to Serbia is scheduled for November 20, and previously he will visit Podgorica, Montenegro.

PODGORICA -- Montenegro's road maintenance company Crnagoraput says its workers were shocked to discover that no fewer than 111 traffic signs were missing from major roads.

The signs were removed and stolen in just one night, between Sunday and Monday, the Podgorica-based daily Vijesti writes.

Ethnic Albanian parties in Montenegro protested on Tuesday against the "inadequate curriculum" their children are offered in schools in Montenegro.

They said that teaching programs in schools are not adapted to the needs of the community as the textbooks are only translations into Albanian of books written in the Montenegrin language.
