Vote for Athens in European best destination voting (video)

Athens will be among the candidates for the best destinations in Europe for 2017. The online voting is organised by a site dedicated to promoting European tourism “Europeanbestdestinations.com”. Athens had come in second in last season’s voting for the continent’s 20 best place to visit. It is the 8th year in a row that people will vote for their favourite choice in Europe.

NATO watching situation between Belgrade, Pristina

BRUSSELS/PRAGUE - NATO said on Monday it was watching closely the situation between Belgrade and Pristina, and urged all parties to exercise restraint and continue the dialogue, Radio Free Europe reported.

The statement was released from the NATO headquarters as a comment on the latest developments in the relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Offenbach opera at Zorlu

The Zorlu PSM screenings of Royal Opera House productions continue with "Les Contes D'Hoffman" (The Tales of Hoffman), a well-regarded opera by Jacques Offenbach. 

The opera will be at Zorlu PSM on Dec. 29. 

IEA's Birol says oil markets will rebalance in first half of 2017 if cuts implemented

A re-balancing of world oil markets could occur in the first half of next year if production cuts by OPEC and other producers are implemented, International Energy Agency (IEA) chief Fatih Birol said on Dec. 13.

Birol told a conference in Prague that higher oil prices would weaken global demand.
