The Union of Albanian Municipalities in the Region has been formed in Tirana, Albania, on the occasion of the Albanian national holiday, November 28.

This union is made up of Tirana, Pristina, Tetovo, Ulcinj, and Presevo, with an agreement of cooperation signed by the mayors of the five towns.

The security situation in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac, and Medvedja is stable, according to the president of the government's coordinating body.

A total of eight people entered the European Union in recent months using the same passport as the one found on the Paris bomber that had entered Europe through Leros, Greece, on October 3. The bomber in question, Ahmad Almohammad, had blown himself up outside the Stade de France after a killing spree in Paris on November 13.

The Serbian Interior Ministry said on Sunday that the Paris attack suspect requested asylum in the southern Serbian town of Presevo near the border with Macedonia on October 7 on his way to western Europe.

The suspect, who police identified as having the initials A.A., told the authorities while registering in Presevo that he was a refugee from Syria.
