Bosnian Serbs Delay Electricity Price Rise After Protests
The government of Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity has halted an announced increase in electricity prices at the last moment after coming under fierce pressure from consumers, experts, unions, the opposition and even some members of the ruling parties.
"As a single mother, I was outraged," a resident of the northwestern town of Prijedor told BIRN on Thursday, about the plan.

A sudden decision by the Republika Srpska (RS) education ministry to instruct all primary schools in the entity to officially change the name of one of Bosnia's three constituent languages from 'Bosnian' to 'Bosniak' has triggered strong reactions in the ethnically-divided country.

While the Republika Srpska, RS, government is working on its third set of economic and social reforms that it began to implementing in early 2015, local businessmen and private entrepreneurs say they still do not see any positive effects from the previous rounds of reforms.

Terror Fears Leave Small Bosnian Town Subdued
On Wednesday evening, a young Bosnian Serb woman timidly walked into the Kozara cinema, the only cinema in the town of Prijedor in the north-west of Bosnia's Serb dominated entity, Republika Srpska.
"Are you open?" she asked the clerk. "I wondered whether I would find anyone here. I didn't dare leave the home for two days, not even to put my kid into kindergarten."

SARAJEVO -- Four persons suspected of war crimes committed against Bosniak civilians in Sanski Most have been arrested on the towns of Prijedor and Banja Luka.
The arrests were carried out by members of the the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
