Dutch Police Shoot Man Waving Axe

Dutch police have shot and wounded a Syrian man who attacked officers after alarmed neighbours reported he was on an apartment balcony waving an axe and shouting "Allahu akbar".

Police say the shooting happened in Schiedam near the port city of Rotterdam on Wednesday when police tried unsuccessfully to calm the 26-year-old man.

Grigor Dimitrov Beat David Goffin in Quarter-finals

Bulgarian fourth seed Grigor Dimitrov reached his first Monte Carlo Masters semi-final with a hard-fought win over Belgium's David Goffin.

Piraeus port, the largest harbor in Greece, entered a new era of handling 20,000 plus twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) vessels on Monday when China's Cosco Shipping Taurus giga container vessel, one of the biggest worldwide, docked there.

The 400 m Taurus is the largest vessel to berth at Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT), opening a new chapter in the history of the port.
