Thousands of Romanians continue protesting against gov't
Tens of thousands of Romanians braved the cold and returned to the streets in protest on Sunday, calling on the government to resign as they accused it of attempting to water down anti-corruption laws.
"Thieves! Resign!" chanted protesters in front of the seat of government in Bucharest, as they used the torches from their mobile phones to form a giant Romanian flag.
Roma 'King' Offers to Build Trump's Mexico Wall
Dorin Cioba, who is a Romanian citizen, has written to Trump saying that Roma people could do the job at a low cost because they suffer from high unemployment, Romanian media reported on Tuesday.

Massive Protests in Romania as Govt Changes Criminal Law
Thousands took to the streets of Romania on Tuesday evening after the government decided to change criminal legislation by emergency ordinance, local media report.
In a cabinet meeting, ministers unexpectedly added the item to the agenda, day ahead of schedule, according to Romania Insider.
Theatre Festival Turns Romanian City Into Stage
For ten days in June, the Transylvanian city of Sibiu has been an enormous stage, with theatre, dance performances, circus and music taking place all over the city.
Over 2,500 artists and producers from some 70 countries worldwide are presenting 427 events organized in 67 venues from Sibiu, including public squares, churches, historic sites and pubs, as well as in theatre halls.

Romania ranks 5th at Robotics European Championship
The three teams of students and professors with the Faculty of Engineering of the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (ULBS) have ranked fifth, the best result of Romania in the history of participations in the Robotics European Championship - EUROBOT Robomovies 2015, which took place over May 21 - 24 in Yverdon-les-Bains (Switzerland), according to a release sent AGERPRES on Tuesday.

Iohannis: I'll support Romania's Davis Cup team from the stands at one of the matches
President Klaus Iohannis announced on Friday on his Facebook account that he will be in the stands of the venue to watch one of the Davis Cup tennis matches opposing the teams of Romania and Israel, to be played in Sibiu.

Romania High Court Clears President Iohannis
Romania's high court of cassation and justice on Wednesday acquitted President Klaus Iohhanis of any charges of possible conflict of interests.
At issue was Iohannis's actions as mayor of the Transylvanian town of Sibiu from 2000 to 2014, when he represented the city administration at a shareholders' meetings of two firms of which the city itself is a co-owner.

High Court: Klaus Iohannis was not in situation of incompatibility
The High Court of Cassation and Justice on Wednesday dismissed an appeal lodged by the National Agency for Integrity and ruled that President of Romania Klaus Iohannis was not in a situation of incompatibility while serving as mayor of Sibiu.AGERPRES
