Thick fog causes 19-car pileup in Macedonia (PHOTOS)
SKOPJE -- Nine people have been injured in a traffic accident near the Macedonian capital of Skopje.
A total of 19 vehicles were involved in the pileup.
The accident took place as the Skopje ring road was shrouded in thick fog.

SKOPJE -- The Macedonian Interior Ministry has confirmed that two explosions occurred near police stations in the towns of Tetovo and Kumanovo.
Nobody was injured in the incidents that took place on Tuesday evening.

Macedonia Unveils Proposal for New Coat of Arms
Macedonia's cabinet has put forward a proposal for a new state emblem set to replace the one Skopje has had for the past twenty-two years.
The fierce-looking red lion against the background of a golden shield and a crown should "restore the country's historic symbols," MINA news agency reports.

"Macedonian president was dead before plane crashed"

SKOPJE -- A draft report about the 2004 plane crash in which Macedonian President Boris Trajkoviski lost his life states the victims were dead before the aircraft fell.
The draft was handed to the Macedonian authorities by Omer Kulic, who chairs an international commission that investigated the crash.
Serbian film The Healing wins Golden Sun award in Skopje
BELGRADE - The Healing (Isceljenje), a debut film by director Ivan Jovic and screenwriter Monja Jovic, has won the Golden Sun award for the best Balkan film at the 13th European Film Festival in Skopje.
The film produced by Cinnamon production was awarded by a jury comprising Nick Holdsworth, Paolo Maria Spina and Nana Jorjadze.
