Bus Carrying Children Suffers Minor Accident in Vitosha Mountain
A bus carrying children suffered a minor traffic accident on its way down from the Aleko chalet in the Vitosha Mountain to Sofia's Dragalevtsi residential district.
Nobody was injured in the accident.
Slightly after 10 am on Saturday, the bus, which had not been equipped with tire chains, hit a tree, according to the press office of the Interior Ministry.

Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will not be visiting Bulgaria in January as previously planned, Turkish media reports suggest.
The reason is that Sofia is not willing to receive him before June's general election in Turkey, according to the English-language version Zaman daily.

Man Shot Dead Near Downtown Sofia on Christmas Eve
A man was shot with a gas pistol and then hit to death with a bottle in Sofia on Wednesday, police say.
The incident unfolded at the Dimitar Petkov market, not far from downtown Sofia, according to Darik Radio.
Police sources suspect the victim was well-known in the neighborhood as a drug addict and pickpocket.

On Thursday, however, a Mediterranean cyclone will bring first rain and then snow in the weekend. Temperatures over the weekend are expected to drop below zero.

Star tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has won the award Bulgarian Sportsperson of the Year for 2014.

A new stem cell transplantation centre opened on Monday in the St. Marina hospital in Varna, reports the bTV national channel.
It is the most up-to-date in Bulgaria and is expected to partially solve the shortage of such treatment of patients with oncological diseases.
