Djurovic: Quint states pressuring Iceland to put Pristina's CoE bid on agenda
STRASBOURG - Serbia's Ambassador to the Council of Europe (CoE) Aleksandra Djurovic said on Tuesday in Strasbourg the Quint states were exerting great pressure on Iceland, which chairs the CoE Committee of Ministers, to put the so-called Kosovo's CoE membership bid on the body's agenda.
Bulgarian MEPs Defended Nuclear Energy
MEP from the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats Tsvetelina Penkova stated that if the EU wants to ensure a balanced and safe electricity system, it needs nuclear energy.
"It is clear that renewable energy is the cheapest, but it is also the most uncertain and difficult and expensive to store," she told the Strasbourg plenary during a debate on energy storage.

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Monday he might cancel a trip to Strasbourg following announcements that the Council of Europe (CoE) Committee of Ministers would on April 19 launch a procedure for the so-called Kosovo's admission to the organisation.
Dacic is due to visit Strasbourg to mark 20 years of Serbia's membership in the CoE.
