Turkish president in Italy to attend G20 summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived early on Oct. 30 in Rome to attend the 16th G20 summit. 

Erdoğan was welcomed at the Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci International Airport by Ankara's Ambassador to Rome Ömer Gucuk and Vatican Ambassador Lutfullah Göktaş, as well as the staff of the Rome and Vatican embassies.

Erdoğan to Pay Two-Day Visit to Vatican, Rome

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to pay an official visit to the Vatican and Rome on Feb. 4-5, the presidential press office said on Feb. 1, reported Hurriyet Daily News.

Erdoğan will meet with Pope Francis as well as Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican's secretary of state, said a statement by the office.

Pope Francis Receives Bulgarian PM, Delegation at Audience in Vatican

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and a delegation headed by him were received at an audience by Pope Francis in the Vatican on Saturday.

The delegation is visiting the Vatican and Rome on Saturday and Sunday, on the occasion of May 24, when the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Script is celebrated.
