Medallion with Sultan Mehmet II’s portrait returning to country
The Istanbul Municipality has brought the medallion depicting portraits of Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II made by Italian artist Costanza de Ferrara in 1481 from the U.K. to the country.
The municipality earlier purchased the medallion for 38,000 pounds at an auction in London.

Head of Eros reunites with its sarcophagus
Discovered 140 years ago and taken to England from Türkiye, the Eros Head was put in its place at the Istanbul Archaeology Museum as a result of the initiatives of the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
The artifact, which was brought to Türkiye on June 10, was reunited with the historical Sidamara Sarcophagus to which it belonged.

Sofia Pride Celebrates its 15th Anniversary on June 18
"Let's be proud" - this will be the motto of the 15th anniversary of "Sofia Pride", which will be held on June 18 this year in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia.
As usual in recent years, in the week before the Pride, there will be a number of events of the LGBTQ+ community in our country. Exhibitions, sporting events, film screenings start on June 8 in Sofia.

Ancient jug returned to Turkey
A golden spouted jug, which dates back to 4,250 years and belongs to the period of Hattians, one of the ancient civilizations of Anatolia, has been returned to Turkey and now adorns the shelves of the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara.
A welcoming ceremony was held on Oct. 26 at the museum to mark the return of the ancient work.
