Bulgarian Railways Launches Electronic Ticketing System For Trains
Since the beginning of this week, Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ - Passenger Services) EOOD has introduced experimental electronic ticketing on trains by the transportation staff using PDA devices. Currently, the service is being tested only on the Sofia - Vratsa - Vidin and Sofia - Vratsa - Lom routes.

A yellow code for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms is in effect for 18 municipalities in Western and Central Bulgaria, according to a reference on the website of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.
In 2022: Unemployment increased in two-thirds of the Regions in Bulgaria
In two-thirds of the regions in Bulgaria, unemployment increased last year, according to the annual report of the Employment Agency.
Vidin region had the highest reported rate of unemployed last year - 14.1 percent compared to 12.3 a year earlier. Montana, Vratsa, Silistra also have over 10% unemployed.
Code Yellow for Rain in Eight Regions in Bulgaria
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a yellow code for significant rainfall in North-West and Central Bulgaria. The warning applies to the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Pazardjik and Smolyan.

Code Orange for Strong Winds in 8 Regions of Bulgaria for Today
An orange code for stormy wind has been issued for today, March 28, by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) for 8 regions in the country.
The warning is for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Pazardjik, Plovdiv and Sliven, where wind gusts can reach over 100 km/h.
Yellow Code for Strong Wind for 14 Regions of Bulgaria
A yellow code for strong wind has been announced for today for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Sofia, Sofiaska, Vratsa, Lovech, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte, Shumen, Burgas, Yambol, Haskovo and Kardjali.
Wind gusts of up to 20-24 m/s are expected, and for the Sofia and Vidin regions, rainfall is also included.
Bulgaria: Anti-Hail Missiles Fired in 9 Districts
The Hail Combatting Executive Agency (HCEA) provides anti-hail missile protection on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria in the districts of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Sliven and Haskovo and the village of Tazha, and by air in North Central and Northeastern Bulgaria, the Agency announced.
