Senior Turkish diplomat to chair OECD’s Executive Committee
Senior career diplomat Mithat Rende of Turkey has been elected as chair of the Executive Committee of the Paris-based Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Foreign Ministry has announced.
Ambassador Rende has been serving as the head of Turkeyâs Permanent Delegation to the OECD since the summer of 2013.

VIENNA -- EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn has said that EU's enlargement will not be possible during the next five years, "for technical reasons."
Balkan Suspects Held in Austrian Anti-Terror Raids
The suspects were detained on Friday in a police operation codenamed Palmira which was aimed at alleged terrorists and recruiters of fighters in foreign conflicts such as Syria.
Around 900 police and other officials were involved in the operation which was described by the Austrian authorities as the biggest "in the history of Austrian state security".

VIENNA -- Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar has recommended to Serbia to "support EU's sanctions against Russia."
Speaking for the Vienna daily Presse, and asked whether Serbia should participate in the sanctions, Cerar said he "leaves that to Belgrade," and added:

BELGRADE -- NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabaković said on Tuesday the contents of the arrangement reached with the IMF "are not being kept secret from the public."
However, she added that "the details cannot be revealed just yet until the agreement with the international financial institution is officially signed."
