Mass Testing to All 11 Million Wuhan Residents
China is planning to implement a huge new testing regime in Wuhan after new coronavirus cases were reported in the city for the first time since April 3.
The six new cases were reported in the same housing complex on Sunday and Monday, and according to state media, all arose from transmission within the country.

Turkey denies receiving coronavirus test kits from Iran
Turkish diplomatic sources on May 11 refuted a claim by Iran's foreign minister that his country had sent 40,000 domestically produced coronavirus test kits to Turkey.

Wuhan: New COVID-19 Case in More Than a Month
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in mainland China reached 82,901 as of May 9, while the total death toll from the virus stood at 4,633,
China has reported 14 new Covid-19 cases, including one from Wuhan in more than a month, where the outbreak was detected late last year. This took taking the number of infections in the country to 82,901, health officials said on Sunday.

44 inmates infected with COVID-19 in Istanbul
Turkish prosecutors on May 8 said that 44 inmates in an Istanbul prison have tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said two inmates and 42 others who came in contact with them tested positive at Silivri Prison.

No visitors let in care homes on Mother's Day
Turkish Labor, Social Services and Family Ministry on May 8 announced visitors will not be allowed to retirement and nursing homes across the country on Mother's Day Sunday, and also during traditional Eid al-Fitr holiday at the end of Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Turkey sets price limit for face masks
Turkey has set a price limit of maximum 1 Turkish Lira ($0.14) -- including VAT -- for face masks, the country's Trade Ministry announced on May 7.
Starting on May 8, medical masks can be sold in markets, pharmacies, companies selling medical devices, and through e-trade platforms.
