Only 30 percent of Russian air strikes in Syria target the Islamic State group, AFP quoted an American official on Wednesday.
"The rest are against opposition forces not affiliated with the jihadists," said Brett McGurk, who is U.S. President Barack Obama's "special envoy for the international anti-IS coalition."

Turkey has started building a wall along its border with Syria following a recent wave of attacks, Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.

2 Turkish guards killed in reported PKK suicide bomb
Two Turkish security guards were killed and 24 wounded in a suicide bomb attack by Kurdish PKK militants, according to the Turkish regional office. According to Turkish state news agency Anadolu, the attack happened at 3 am local time near the town of Dogubayazit, close to Turkey’s borders with Iran, when a tractor laden with explosives was driven into a police station.
