Telemach suing Telekom Slovenije for almost EUR 30m

Ljubljana – The telecommunications provider Telemach has filed a lawsuit at the Ljubljana District Court against telecoms incumbent Telekom Slovenije over alleged violations of regulatory decisions, demanding the payment of EUR 28.796 million in damages with default interest from 1 June until payment.

Ljubljana – The European Parliament’s Democracy, Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights Monitoring Group held a virtual public discussion on media freedom in Slovenia on Friday featuring representatives from Slovenia and the European Commission. Group members expressed concern about the situation and their expectations for the Commission to take action.

Delo says 5G will be costly for operators

Ljubljana – The Agency for Communication Networks and Services has received four bids for wireless spectrum, including bands set aside for 5G mobile networks, until the deadline last Monday and now the battle of operators for their slice of the 5G pie begins. But the operators are in for at least two more steps entailing substantial investments, Delo says.
