Greece is gaining broader access to the American tourism market with the resumption of direct flights by Air Canada to Athens' Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport for the new tourism season, as there had been no direct flights from Canada to the Greek capital until recently.

Dubai International Airport remained the world's busiest for international passengers in 2015 as traffic grew 10.7 percent, boosted by the addition of new airlines and routes, the airport's operator said on Feb. 1.
Annual traffic rose to 78 million passengers from 70.5 million in 2014. In the month of December alone, traffic climbed 8.5 percent to 7.05 million people.
Turbulence injures multiple Air Canada passengers, diverts flight
Turbulence on an Air Canada flight from China injured multiple passengers on Dec. 30, forcing it to land in Calgary, Alberta, the airline said.
Twenty-one passengers were transferred to hospitals from the airport - eight with non-life-threatening injuries and 13 sent for observation, it said in a statement.
