Haunting video footage of Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz enjoying a flying lesson in a glider has come to light. The video shows the pilot responsible for the Germanwings Airbus murder-suicide laughing as he takes off and lands solo. He is believed to have been in his late teens during the recording obtained by ITV news.

Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz 'announced' fatal flight

Following revelations that 28-year-old Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz was diagnosed with severe depression and was even hospitalized, the German tabloid "Bild" reports that he had more-or-less "announced" the fatal flight.

Bild said Lubitz was planning an "impressive act" so everyone would remember his name.

Aegean's landmark year notes 14% passenger increase

Aegean Airlines reported a 14% increase in passenger traffic with more than 10.1 million passengers in 2014. The carrier's consolidated revenues reached 912 million euros in 2014, up 7% from 2013. Net profits were at 80.2 million euros, rising sharply from 52.5 million euros in 2013, helped by an 11.7 million euros in tax provisions.

No Serbians among Germanwings plane crash victims

BELGRADE - No Serbian nationals were on board the Germanwings plane that crashed in the French Alps, killing all 144 passengers and six crew members, the Serbian Foreign Ministry told Tanjug on Wednesday.

"Based on the list of names that we have seen, there were no Serbian nationals on board," the ministry's press service said.
