Roman-era theater comes to life

Around 70 percent of restoration works in the 2,000-year-old ancient Roman theater ongoing since 2020 as part of the Archaeopark Project have concluded.

Being restored in accordance with many international ancient theater reconstruction works, the theater can be used as an open-air stage with an audience capacity of approximately 1,500 people when the work is done.

Nation Alliance’s candidate will be 13th president: Akşener

İYİ (Good) Party leader Meral Akşener on Dec. 13 said she believes that the presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance will be elected by the nation in the next elections.

"I do not know when the election will take place, but I believe that the candidate of the Nation Alliance will be the 13th president," Akşener said.

Ankara hosts photo exhibit on Pakistan

Pakistan's Embassy in Turkey is hosting a seven-day photo exhibit in the capital Ankara. 

The exhibit - "Colors of Pakistan Through the Eyes of Turks," done in coordination with Anadolu Agency and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality - features 52 sheets of photographers, including Anadolu Agency photojournalists Metin Aktas and Ismet Keten.

CHP launches disciplinary action into former deputy amid allegations against Ankara mayor

The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has launched disciplinary action against former Ankara deputy Sinan Aygün over his remarks about party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and deputy chair Bülent Kuşoğlu amid bribery allegations by Aygün against Ankara's mayor.
