Bestseller Musk biography to be adapted into film
A top-selling biography of billionaire Elon Musk is being adapted into a film with prolific U.S. director Darren Aronofsky already attached, production company A24 said on Nov. 10
The author of "Elon Musk," star biographer Walter Isaacson, had a previous book on Apple founder Steve Jobs made into a 2015 film starring Michael Fassbender.

Buffett's firm reports $12.8 billion loss
Warren Buffett's company has reported a nearly $13 billion loss in the third quarter as the paper value of its investments fell, but the companies it owns — particularly the insurers — generally performed well.
Berkshire Hathaway said it lost $12.8 billion in the quarter. That's significantly bigger than the $2.8 billion loss that it reported a year ago.

Apple sales lose ground, but iPhone growth strong
Apple has reported that sales fell for the fourth consecutive quarter when compared to the prior year, but profit rose on the back iPhones and services.
The tech giant made a profit of $23 billion on revenue of $89.5 billion, which was down slightly from the same period last year.
Apple chief executive Tim Cook said iPhone sales set a new record for its September quarter.

The first Apple Premium Partner Store in Greece will open on Saturday at The Mall Athens, with an inauguration ceremony at 1 p.m.
The iStorm store is one of only 10 such stores in Europe, serving as a vote of confidence by Apple in iStorm's prospects in Greece.

Terry Gou resigns from board of Foxconn
Aspiring Taiwanese independent presidential candidate Terry Gou has resigned from the board of Foxconn, the Apple supplier he founded nearly a half-century ago.
The company issued a news release late on Sept. 2 saying Gou had resigned for personal reasons.

Amazon and Apple beat earnings forecasts
Amazon and Apple have reported earnings that topped market expectations, aiming for even better days ahead with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).
"Inside Amazon, every one of our teams is working on building generative AI applications that reinvent and enhance their customers' experience," chief executive Andy Jassy said during an earnings call.

Apple targeted by $1 bln class action lawsuit in UK
U.S. tech giant Apple is being targeted by a class action lawsuit seeking over $1 billion in damages from developers angry about the high price it charges to market apps to users of its products, organizers said yesterday.
The lawsuit was launched by competition professor Sean Ennis at the University of East Anglia on behalf of 1,500 British app developers.
Nokia renews patent license agreement with Apple
Network infrastructure and 5G technology provider Nokia has signed a new long-term patent license agreement with Apple to replace the current deal between the two companies that is set to expire at the end of 2023.
