This was in line with the instability seen on foreign markets too.

Attica to sell loan portfolio to a British group
The governing board of Attica Bank has accepted an offer from British financial group Aldridge EDC for a loan portfolio worth 1.3 billion euros.
The sale, which requires ratification by the bank's general meeting, forms part of the strategy of Greece's fifth-largest bank to cover 70 million euros in capital requirements.

ATHEX: Bourse index rises above 700 points
The benchmark of the Athens bourse has cleared the 700-point bar for the first time since early November 2015 after a third consecutive northbound session on Wednesday, while the banks index has now offset all of the losses incurred over the course of this year. Turnover remained on a level reminiscent of the years before the capital controls were imposed.

Greek power utility PPC gets 200 mln euro loan to help repay debt

ATHEX: Record low turnover at start of year
The Greek bourse began the new year on Monday with the lowest daily trading volume in almost four-and-a-half years: It narrowly managed to clear the 10-million-euro level on a day that was a bank holiday for many countries while the vast majority of stores in Greece were also closed.

ATHEX: Lowest trading volume in three months
It seemed the minds of most investors were elsewhere on Thursday judging by the performance of Greek stocks, which drifted slightly higher while turnover was the lowest in the last 12 weeks.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 636.67 points, adding 0.15 percent to Wednesday's 635.74 points.

ATHEX edges lower on slightly higher volume
Early gains evaporated for the majority of stocks on the Greek bourse on Wednesday, which ended with a small decline for the benchmark and slightly increased trading volume.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 635.74 points, shedding 0.07 percent from Tuesday's 636.19 points.
